The Bundeswehr Technical Center for Ships and Naval Weapons, Maritime Technology and Research (WTD 71) has officially joined the OCEAN2020 consortium which now includes 43 partners. Located in Eckernförde, WTD 71 belongs to the Federal Office of Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) within the structure of the German Ministry of Defence.

In OCEAN2020 WTD 71 represents the German End User and provides the research vessel RV PLANET as a platform for our partner Fraunhofer IOSB and their equipment for the Baltic Sea Demonstration.
