During the second day of the 9th International Tech-Science Conference NATCON “Maritime technologies for defense and security”, representatives of OBR CTM S.A. gave a presentation on the OCEAN2020 project entitled "Application of Augmented Reality technology in the maritime domain on the example of the OCEAN 2020 project".

The OBR CTM  team presented information on existing immersive,  the so-called immersion/absorption of people by electronic reality,  with particular emphasis on Augmented Reality (AR) technologies.

The main part of the speech focused on the possibility of using AR technology in the maritime domain, primarily in the field of navigation, reconnaissance, training and equipment maintenance. Its use, had a real influence on the activities carried out under the OCEAN 2020 project. One of goals of the project is to define recommendations for potential solutions that enable the analysis of the collected data using AR technology.

In conclusion, it was stated that the experience collected during the implementation of the OCEAN2020 project allowed for the assessment and development of recommendations about the use of AR in the maritime domain. It was found that these solutions can perfectly support decision-making processes, enabling a better analysis of the collected data.
