Beside and taking benefit from technical developments during the OCEAN2020 project, two documents testify the outreach of the project results in terms of roadmap and recommendations for future research.

The first document titled “Roadmap Report for Future Research and Capability Development” provides recommendations for further activities that may include planning for capability development, the development of European Union (EU) industrial capabilities or the development of scientific research. The document “Policy/Standard Recommendation Report” provides recommendations for unmanned system deployment policy, recommendations for Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) flight safety standardisation and procedures, recommendations for situation awareness and unmanned interoperability standardisation, as well as policy recommendations for unmanned system integration. In addition to the partners’ knowledge, all these aspects reflect the experience gathered during the OCEAN2020 development and, especially, during the simulated and live demonstration trials.
