On September 8, 2021, during the second day of the International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO), a seminar summarizing the European project "OCEAN2020" was held. It was mainly focused on the second sea demonstration which saw a wide range of unmanned systems in the Baltic Sea, and was completed in August 2021. Its aim was to ensure the possibility of integration and cooperation of European countries in conducting joint military operations. This demonstration was the second important milestone of this international project.
The presentation of the project, conducted in the form of a seminar organized by OBR CTM S.A., being part of the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ), took place on the main stage of the PGZ stand during the Kielce MSPO Fair. It was attended by representatives of companies forming the 43 entity Consortium, established to implement the OCEAN2020 project and led by Leonardo. The aim of the project was to present the potential of unmanned platforms in terms of collecting, analyzing, fusing and distributing information about security threats in the maritime environment. The presentation was delivered by the OCEAN2020 Project Coordinator Antonino Arecchi and Patrizia Monteforte from Italian Leonardo, President SAAB Technologies Poland Sp.z.o.o. Jyrki Kujansuu from Swedish Saab, Defence&Security consultant Eligijus Mylė from Lithuanian Baltic Institute of Advanced Technology (BPTI) and OCEAN20202 project manager Tomasz Bajer from Polish Ośrodek Badawczo-Rozwojowy Centrum Techniki Morskiej S.A.
