The headquarters of the Italian Navy Fleet Command is located in the S. Rosa district, in the outskirts of Rome. Through its operation centre, it exerts operational control over all Navy assets, ensures the state of readiness of air-naval, submarine and amphibious forces, and provides maintenance, training and support as required.

 
Activities at sea are aimed at achieving, developing, validating and sharing the Maritime Situational Awareness (MSA) through the Maritime Operation Centre, with a view to ensuring maritime security in the areas of interest.
