SEASCAN - Mine Identification Remotely Operated Vehicle

Seascan is a light weight self-propelled ROV- remotely operated vehicle- developed by ECA Group. It is dedicated to inspection missions and used by navies within mine counter measures operation. Its unique architecture ensures second to none performances in terms of hovering capability and stability in turbulent water. Easy to deploy from any kind of platform, the user friendly command and control software UMISOFT offers auto piloting functions to improve mission efficiency.
 

For the Mediterranean Demonstration in Taranto the SEASCAN ROV is installed onboard a USV – unmanned surface vehicle- INSPECTOR and it is deployed in each scenario to perform close video of targets such as a wreckage of the hostile vessel as well as mine identification.
 
SEASCAN is integrated into ECA Group’s UMISTM drones system - a turnkey MCM solution in operation already within two world’s navies and chosen by Belgian and Netherlands Navies for their future MCM capability.
