TSDT

The Tactical Situation Digital Table (TSDT) belongs to the Decision Support Systems (DSS), which gather different kinds of data coming from multiple systems in the operation theatre to give decision makers an updated picture of the tactical scenario. The Human-Computer Interface is designed following the natural interfaces paradigm and exploits multi-touch technology to provide intuitive, user friendly interaction.

During the demonstration, TSDT was integrated in the CMS of Italian frigates, at the Italian MOC and EU MOC, where it played a crucial role in supporting situation awareness management, displaying data coming from all unmanned systems involved in the demo, and from satellites, on a 3D situation digital table. Moreover it performed data and video processing and forwarding among Italian frigates, Italian MOC (in Rome and Taranto) and EU MOC prototype in Brussels, also acting as Video Streaming System in order to optimize the use of satellite communication channels.
