During the week from 13 to 17 May, EDA (Brussels) hosted the third and final step of the System Design Review of OCEAN2020, with a large participation of consortium members. The completion of the SDR represents a further progress towards the live sea demonstration in November and August next year. The System Design Review aimed to assess the results of the design tasks which included the overall architectural design, the information processing analysis, the UXs deployment analysis, the identification of UxS that will be deployed in the demonstrations, transverse design aspects (EME, Security, Safety) and the integration design.
The SDR was organized in three main steps, in particular the third one focused on the Integration Design guidelines and their implementation for Naval platforms, Maritime Operation Centres and the EU MOC Prototype. The planning of integration activities preparing the Mediterranean Sea Demonstration was also presented and analysed during the meeting.
