On September 8, 2021, during the second day of the International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO), a seminar summarizing the European project "OCEAN2020" was held. It was mainly focused on the second sea demonstration which saw a wide range of unmanned systems in the Baltic Sea, and was completed in August 2021. Its aim was to ensure the possibility of integration and cooperation of European countries in conducting joint military operations. This demonstration was the second important milestone of this international project.

OCEAN2020 has successfully completed the execution of the second sea demonstration, held on the 25 and 26 of August at Hano Bight, off the southern coast of Sweden, with the participation of 18 European companies, research institutes and defence ministries from 10 different EU Countries. The sea demonstration showed how the information collected from the assets deployed in the area of operations can be integrated to create a Recognised Maritime Picture (RMP).

As part of the simulated demonstration activities foreseen in the frame of the OCEAN2020 project, a demonstration of our partner Intracom Defense (IDE) on ‘’USS Autonomous Behaviour model’’ was held on Wednesday 23rd of June at IDE premises, with the attendance of EDA and Leonardo representatives.

During the Final Workshop of the EU funded research project Andromeda (An Enhanced Common Information Sharing Environment for Border Command, Control and Coordination Systems), held last week as a virtual event on 23 and 24 June, Fernando Barbero, Program Manager - Indra Defence and Security, gave a presentation titled " OCEAN2020 Project - A Technological Demonstrator of Enhanced Situation Awareness in Naval Environment with the Use of Unmanned Systems".
