In the second week of July EDA performed the technical check of the two IOSB assets that will participate in the Baltic Sea Demonstration, UUS DeDave and USS Waterstrider.

The UUS DeDave technical check of was carried out in Illmenau. IOSB showed the advanced laboratory and test facility that allow the development of systems for underwater research. A demonstration of UUS DeDave was performed in a lake nearby Illmenau, executing a typical mission of sea (lake in the demonstration) bottom survey.

The technical check of USS Waterstrider was carried out in Eckenford, where IOSB illustrated the capabilities and the design features of the Waterstrider, in particular the ability to conduct cooperative surveillance through the self-coordinated deployment of a USS swarm. A demonstration of a typical surveillance mission was performed in the bay of Eckenford, involving two Waterstrider systems monitored by an ashore control station.

It was also an  opportunity for WTD71 to show the Planet Research Vessel, which will participate in the Baltic Sea Demonstration, with its facilities to support the ISOB assets during the trial.
